Like Frankenstein’s Monster, this podcast is pieced together but instead of decaying body parts, your podcast is strung together with interesting quips and insights from two well-spoken and thoughtful hosts. You can see the stitching at times, but that’s okay, because you’re in for a great time for episodes with heart, a still-beating bloody heart.

I’ve followed along since episode 12 or so and it’s been so much of a treat to hear the podcast grow up and the production get better over the years. The distinct rhythm of each episode is the same general outline but the hosts give so much room for themselves and their guests to really explore the movie and monster they are discussing. I’ve learned so much more about movie making and monster design from these guys and continue to look forward to each episode every two weeks. Thanks for the laughs, the recurring personality bits, and insightful tidbits into the movies. I’m not a huge horror movie fan, but these conversations are engaging and thoughtful, even if I haven’t watched the movie they are talking about (which is the majority of them, to be honest). Cheers friends. Keep up the good stuff.

I’ve never seen a movie but listening to these nerds and their commentary makes me feel like I’m sitting in gum at the movie theater with a pocket full of popcorn and jujubees. 12/10 Bonus: great use of the word “neckflaps” in episode 28

Been a long time listener and it. Has. Been. Worth it! So many good recipes! Pumkin! Apple. Chicken Pot Pie! KEYLIME! It goes on. I haven’t had a cherry pie this tangy since I was a teenager! The hosts are great fun too. Sara Lynn seems like such a HANDFUL but Earleen manages to keep her on task and great listen. CHEMISTRY. Guests too. Loretta always makes for a good episode. Barb Glancet is so informative! Others too. I don’t like Pam. I tried to get my granddaughter Kristen to listen but she is REBELLIOUS . THATS OK. I know!!!! Jesus will win. HER. BACK! Joe and Kalid are a blast to listen to. Every episode I get some laughs and learn something new from their reflections on character, culture, and storytelling. I also really appreciate all the voices they include and the fun recurring segments. Check this podcast out if you haven’t already!

I don’t it. The hosts keep analyzing these creatures in a complex, culturally competent context and then they break down how they composition and story try to position thus monster in the collective unconscious. I found it very annoyingly genius.

The hosts of Frankenstein’s Podcast, Joe and Kalid, have a great rapport as they discuss and dissect many of the most iconic creatures and monsters in pop culture. Their show is unique, informative, and FUN! I can’t recommend it highly enough.
